Funding


Liverpool Business Services as part of Liverpool Community College is able to attract different funding to support workplace training initiatives.

Current initiatives include:

Train2Gain: is designed to increase participation of the workforce at level 2 (GCSE).  Employers are eligible for a salary subsidy for employees who undertake training.


Apprenticeships: supports employees aged 19-25 who would benefit from training on-the-job up to level 3 (A-levels).


SkillWorks: tourism targets employers with fewer than 250 employees in the tourism sector with subsidies to support training needs.


Skills for life: is a government agenda to improve the maths and English skills in the workforce. Improvement in these skills can lead to confidence and improved productivity.
